I Read, I Write, I Cook, I Create, I Become
For someone immersed in music, particularly Sufi songs, a beard wouldn’t come as a shock, right? I am a poet too. I write what I feel and live for what I love. I find fun in work. From the garden to the frying pan, I’ve tried my hands at all. I want to dip my fingers in ink and sweat and draw rainbows.
I find fun in working. I am a foodie, I love immersing myself into Sufi music, I am a poet, and above all, I love to create things. From growing flower buds to dancing with spices in the kitchen, I love trying everything new.
I am never content with my achievements. I always strive for more! I strive to cook more tasty dishes, to create more vibrant paintings, and to write more intense poetry.
From a kid who loved gardening to a professional who hones his innate skills, you will find it all here: projects, foodie bytes, poems and snippets from my life.
Amidst all of this, the most daunting task I face is, growing a beard and a man bun!

To me, music isn’t just a hobby, it’s a way for me to connect with the artist, the lyricist, and the audience.
Even though am a fan of all genres, am a Classic Rock guy with an inclination towards Jazz, Blues, R&B, Country, Sufi and classical Indian music.
Depending on my mood, my playlist can extend from Elton John, Queen, Journey, GNR, Metallica, Led Zeppelin, Eagles, Pink Floyd, Blake, Frank Sinatra, John Legend to Anoushka Shankar and AR Rahman.
Like any other millennial, I binge watch many many movies and TV series. I prefer shows that have unique stories and bold characters.
Some of my favorites include Perks of Being a Wallflower, It’s kind of a funny story, Breakfast Club, Dead Poets Society, Taxi Driver, Forrest Gump, Rainman, 12 Angry Men, Dog Day Afternoon, Pelican Brief, Casablanca, To Kill a Mockingbird among other classics.
I believe that you don’t need to read a lot or write a lot to become a good writer. One honest sentence, that can move somebody, is enough for you to call yourself a great writer.
I write to be the characters that I am not. I write to explore all the things I’m afraid of. I write because adding a word after a word, gives me strength.
Tomorrow may be hell, but today is a good writing day, and on good writing days nothing else matters.
Food isn’t a basic necessity, it is an embodiment of human achievement! The purpose of culinary pleasure lies in curating the right ingredients to create an experience and a memory.
I don’t consider cooking as a hobby, it is more therapeutic for me. There is a certain pleasure which one gains when you add the right ingredients in a hot wok and see the aroma rise.
I take pride in cooking North and South Indian Cuisine, along with basic Italian, Chinese, and a few western European dishes.
Not all those who wander are lost. The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page and wherever you go becomes a part of you somehow.
I don’t travel to reach some place. I travel to keep going. The great affair is to move. I travel for travel’s sake!
I believe, travel brings power and love back into your life.
